This policy explains how The Crafty Train Station collects and uses information when you browse trains, claim a seller spot, use a private planner, chat with a train group, or organize a train.
What we collect
- Names, email addresses, shop names, Whatnot usernames, and organizer account details.
- Train schedules, seller notes, show links, checklist progress, announcements, acknowledgments, chat messages, and planner events.
- Images organizers upload and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use it
We use this information to operate signups and calendars, deliver requested transactional emails, provide train communication, prevent misuse, respond to support or privacy requests, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Who can see it
On a public or shared signup page, a claimed seller’s display or shop name and Whatnot username may be visible to visitors. Email addresses, private notes, private planner details, and private dashboard information are not intentionally displayed publicly. Conductors can see information needed to manage their own trains. Confirmed sellers and the conductor can see a train’s private chat history.
Service providers
We use service providers to host the site, authenticate organizers, store data and images, and deliver email. They process information as needed to provide those services. Transactional email is currently delivered through Resend.
Retention and deletion
We keep information while it is needed to operate the service, maintain train records, resolve disputes, or meet legal and security needs. Seller details are cleared when a seller is removed from a spot; deleting a train removes its related signups, chat, and notifications. Private calendar access links expire after one year. You may request access, correction, or deletion through our privacy request form. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
Security and private links
Seller dashboards and calendars use private bearer links. Anyone who receives one may be able to access that page, so do not forward it or save it on a shared device. No online service can guarantee perfect security; please report a suspected exposure promptly.
Age limit
This service is for adults age 18 or older. It is not directed to children and should not be used to submit a child’s personal information.
Your choices
You can avoid optional fields, release a seller spot, ask a conductor to correct train information, or submit a privacy request. Required operational emails are sent only for activity connected to the service, such as a signup, train message, or organizer application.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material updates will be announced in the site’s notification area. Questions and requests can be sent through Contact & requests.
